The Doubleheader Match Ups
W-League Piranhas vs. Atlanta, 5:30 p.m.

After a three-game scoreless drought, the W-League Piranhas look to bounce back Sunday from their defeat by Charlotte on May 22 when they take on the Atlanta Silverbacks for the second time this season - this time at home. The last time these two teams faced off was on May 15 at Atlanta Silverbacks Park where a first half goal gave Atlanta the game.  The Piranhas did well to manage under an onslaught of Atlanta attacks, but the game had been decided. Since the May 22nd match, the Piranhas have grown in training and experience. With revised goals in mind, the W-League Piranhas look to shift the game to their favor this time around.

W-League Piranhas (0-2-1)
The Piranhas stand in third place in the Atlantic Division. The Piranhas have yet to score this season but goalkeeper Vicki Johnson holds a 2.00 GAA with one shutout in three games.

Atlanta Silverbacks (2-0-0)
Atlanta is coming off a 3-0 defeat of Tampa Bay on May 22 and stands in first place in the Atlantic Division and hasn’t allowed a goal this. Leading Atlanta in scoring is Alexa Newfield with four points (1 goal, 2 assists) and goalkeeper Michele Betos has recorded both shutouts.

The Doubleheader Match Ups
PDL Piranhas vs. Carolina Dynamo, 8 p.m.

The Hampton Roads Piranhas get another chance to take back their turf Sunday when they face the Carolina Dynamo on Sunday, May 30 at 8 p.m. With the bitter taste of a 1-0 defeat by New Jersey last weekend still lingering, the Piranhas are sure to fly out of the starting gates. They will have to keep the intensity high and remain organized for the full 90 minutes against Carolina. The Dynamo and Piranhas have a similar record, but the Piranhas have a game in hand. With an organized team, a deep bench, and heaps of individual talent, the Piranhas are always a force to be reckoned with. However, Carolina is a very capable team and will be hungry for a win as well but is set to play Northern Virginia just 24 hours before facing Hampton Roads.

PDL Piranhas (0-2-1)
Hampton Roads is coming off a heartbreaking 1-0 loss to New Jersey on May 22. TJ Cyrus and Bryan Iotte have each scored for the red and white and Jordan Cyrus leads the team in shots with four. Goalkeeper Ryan Zmuda holds a 2.88 GAA in three matches.

Carolina Dynamo (0-1-1)
Carolina is coming off a 4-0 defeat at the hands of Reading on May 22 and Stephen McCarthy is the teams’ lone goal scorer so far this season with one goal. Goalkeeper Brock Duckworth has a 2.571 GAA in two matches.
