Piranhas Announce Try Out Dates
HAMPTON ROADS PIRANHAS ANNOUNCE 2010 OPEN TRYOUT DATES
PDL Tryouts February 28, W-League Tryouts March 7
Virginia Beach, Virginia – The Hampton Roads Piranhas announce the club’s open tryout dates for the 2010 season. Tryouts for the men’s Premier Development Team will be held on February 28 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. and again from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Prospective players much attend both sessions. The W-League (women’s) side will try out on March 7 from 10 a.m. to noon. Players are asked to be dressed and ready to play at the designated times. All tryouts will be held at the Virginia Beach Sportsplex.
According to the United Soccer Leagues, USL rosters may consist of a maximum of 26 players, with 18 designated for each game. In the PDL, a maximum of only eight (8) players may be over the age of 23. Both PDL and W-League teams are permitted a maximum of eight (8) foreign players per roster. All players trying out for the Piranhas’ squads must present a valid ID.
All players must pre-register and there will be a $25 tryout fee per player. Registration and payment must be received by noon the day before each tryout. All forms are available online at www.hrpiranhas.com. A certified trainer will be on site for each tryout.
